Ivan Belička

ivan_belickaChoreograph, teacher and advisor for historical fencing and fighting. Fencer in fencing performances and shows, warrior, horse rider, horse archer, fencing double in movies, organizer of historical reenactment events. He’s actively involved in historical fencing since 1993 and in organizing of related events since 1997. As a member of one historical fencing society, which was presided by him from 1996 to 2009 he participated as an active fencer or horse archer in a variety of historical reenactment events in several countries of Europe (Czech republic, Poland, Italy, Austria, Denmark, Bulgaria, Russia, Turkey, Hungary), as well as in innumerable performances, shows and events in Slovakia.


Achieved levels

(Magisterium – school of European historical martial arts)
Certified fencer for fencing with historical weapons in a system of Ing. Peter Koza in ranks of Italian, German, Spanish, Sabre as well as Sword and Shield schools.

  • Lectures and seminars for theatre actors (Academy of performing arts Banska Bystrica 2007, 2010)
  • Organizer and lecturer of Magisterium Slovacum
  • The owner and art-director of Markepee s.r.o., the agency organizing historical reenactment events.
  • the organizer of First as well as following meetings of the chiefs of fencing societies in 90-ties as well as publisher of Journal of historical fencing in Slovakia (printed version 1998-2003, online version from 2002 until now at www.serm.sk )
